Frequently Asked Question

It does not just snap. That is the important thing. The sling is built with a safety factor above the rated SWL, so if something heavier than expected goes on it, the chain starts to visibly deform first. That gives you a warning. A sudden snap with no warning is what you want to avoid, and this design accounts for that.

Honestly, it varies quite a bit. Use it within its rated capacity, inspect it regularly, and keep it away from conditions it was not specified for, and it will last a long time. Push it with repeated shock loads or ignore the inspection schedule and you will shorten that significantly.

The high tensile alloy steel takes the force spikes that come with sudden drops or fast lifts better than lower grade materials would. That said, shock loading is harder on the sling than steady lifts, so if your work involves a lot of it, inspect more frequently than you otherwise would.

SS 304 and SS 316 hooks, both conforming to IS 3822. SS 304 is fine for most corrosion resistance needs. SS 316 is the one to go for if chlorides, saltwater, or stronger chemicals are involved. Food, pharmaceutical, offshore, that is where SS 316 makes more sense.

Minus 40 degrees C all the way up to 400 degrees C. So it works in cold storage environments and high temperature industrial settings without needing a different sling for each.

Yes. The corrosion-resistant and rust-proof construction handles direct food contact without contamination concerns. It also works across the temperature range those environments tend to run at, which is useful.

0.5 ton to 100 ton. Light handling jobs at one end, very heavy industrial lifts at the other. Most applications fall somewhere in that range without needing anything custom.

Every sling is 100% tested before it leaves us. On your end, check the tag for the SWL and make sure it matches what you are lifting. Look at the links for wear, elongation, or damage. Check the hooks for deformation or cracks. If anything does not look right, it does not go on the load.

Yes. If the standard range does not quite fit the application, share the load, the environment, and what the job involves and we can work out the right specification from there.

IS 2760 for the sling and IS 3822 for the hooks. Every component gets tested before assembly, not just at the end, so the finished sling meets the load and safety parameters it is rated for.
